Imbolc celebrates the coming end of Winter and the beginning of the growing cycle. It is the time to let go of the past and to look to the future, clearing out the old, making both outer and inner space for new beginnings.

Join Sky River Temple as we as we give thanks for the growing light, and await the warmer months.

Our Imbolc online ritual is Sunday, 31st of January at 2:30 pm.

To make this more interactive, we will be using a few different elements that you can prepare ahead of time and use at home during the ritual. We will be using an ice candle, and at the end of the ritual there will be a cake and ale (or water as as a substitute) portion. Below are instructions on how to prepare these elements if you desire.

We will be using Zoom. If joining with a mobile device, you will be required to download the app. If you are joining via desktop, you can either install the application or join through the browser.

Ice Candle

In a small yogurt or other plastic container, fill with water and freeze. Before the ritual starts, take the ice out of the container, and place it on a towel over a small plate. During the ritual, there will be a point where a small tea light is placed on the ice block.

Ale or Water

There will be a full moon on Thursday, the 28th of January, 2021. If you like, you can use it to charge the water or ale that will be used in the ritual on Sunday, the 31st of January.
